"Ten previously unreleased Jimi Hendrix recordings highlight Both Sides of the Sky, an upcoming posthumous LP from the legendary guitarist. The album will be available March 9th, 2018 via Sony Legacy Recordings on multiple formats, including CD, digital and a numbered, 180-gram audiophile double-vinyl

It is the final installment in a trilogy series of unissued archival recordings, following 2010's Valleys of Neptune and 2013's People, Hell and Angels. This is the third album in a series of three put out by the same team. The previous two were "People Hell and Angels" and "Valleys of Neptune" - both of which were quite worthwhile additions to the Hendrix catalog and also sounded good.
So I'm all in favor, as I assume this one will also be good.
I hear ya but I might argue with how worthy Valleys and PHA really are in the grand scheme - I rarely play my copies, but now I suppose, I am encouraged to do so again.
Don't disagree. I like these albums, but they are for the serious fan, not the casual or average one. Those fans are probably best served by buying the original 4-5 albums released by Hendrix himself or at his direction.
