Yeah, when CDs first came out they were priced higher than LPs...oh, how long ago that was. I am used to the premium cost of vinyl now but sometimes even I get surprised. Look at this pre-order price difference on Amazon:

And I also remember that they were cheaper to produce, had less defects, and we all thought they should cost less than LPs. Oh, and they mostly sounded like crap.
ReplyDeleteso basically what you are saying is: because vinyl sounds better than a cd (which more often than not it does) it's ok to gauge the consumer.
